I had the opportunity to spend an hour in my fabric shed last weekend and found three Ikea fabric place mats that were in desperate need of a make over so armed with a bag of scraps and ribbons, I decided it was time to make a bag suitable to carry my A4 folder on the train.
Once again, I kept it simple with my free motion embroidery but this is progress so far. It is one long strip at the moment with the majority of the sewing on the back and the flap but I am starting to add some to the front.
I have a bag of tiny pale yellow beads that I am going to sew onto the flower centres.
After this, back to the shed for some lining fabric and something for the handle.
