I can't resist a rummage around at my local charity shop. They have started having a basket with packs of buttons, zips and embroidery threads and this week they had added some pieces of fabric. I found this lovely piece of black sateen for £1.
I have been looking to upcycle some clothing and it gave me the perfect opportunity to have a go. I haven't worn this M&S t-shirt for a few years as it is a bit short but would make a lovely cardigan so a couple of 2 1/2 inch strips of the bargain fabric, I now have a new cardigan which will be perfect to stop me being all black for work.
Wow, it looks like it was always meant to be a cardigan. I love it.
